This Monday was Aidan's last day of Hockey Camp.
Adam was out of town so my mom decided to tag along with me.
We got hungry while we waited, so we googled restaurants downtown on our phones.
Over and over we kept seeing "Rotiers" pop up...consistent 5 star reviews for "Best Cheeseburger in Nashville". We just had to see if they were right.
They had me at Coke in a glass bottle. Seriously.
And if that didn't do it, the cigarette machine from the 1950's would have.
Not that I smoke. But if I did, I'm thinking I would love to get my cigarettes from a machine with pinball knobs.
I'm drifting.
This place is a complete hole. in. the. wall.
But so unique and charming on so many different levels. Ownership since the 40's by same family, decor that has not been touched since the opening I do believe, and the warmest atmosphere. Like visiting your favorite uncle's house. The one that has a candy dish full of circus peanuts...year round.
It really was a phenomenal burger. My mom had the Reuben and loved it. And if you ever go there...the Hershey's cake is to DIE FOR!!
Oh! I almost forgot to mention the highlight of our meal!!!
About 5 minutes after being seated Taylor Swift stopped right at our booth to pay at the register.
My kids thought it was the neatest thing ever...they kept their cool and just let her be a normal girl in a burger joint. I on the other hand was a little less mature. I wanted so badly to snap a photo without her knowing, but it all just happened too fast. She really is a pretty girl by the way. And tall!
Seeing their sweet smiley starstruck faces almost made the new jiggle in my thighs worth it. Almost
Rotier's...FIVE STARS!!
